| The Strategic Management of Parkinsonia aculeata in the Georgina River Catchment – NT project is a whole of catchment, cross-border approach to parkinsonia management. This National Landcare Program funded project is bringing together the managers of 12 neighboring pastoral leases who are working together to manage this WONS species over 35,000 km2. | |

There are four major components to the project: and aerial survey to map the full extent of parkinsonia in the catchment; workshops to build land managers knowledge and capacity in best practice parkinsonia management; the development of long-term strategically aligned property weed management plans and; a treatment program targeting key infestations. |
